My fitness journey began after my third child when I realized I wasn’t a super hero who would magically get my old body back. I started taking classes at the local YMCA and after about a year started teaching and doing personal training. I taught Kettlebells, Boot Camp and Circuit Training. I was on the treadmill one day and watched two men trying to kill themselves in about 7 minutes. That was the first WOD I ever saw and…..I wanted in! I talked to them and discovered CrossFit. I started applying the style to my classes but soon discovered I couldn’t replicate that I a class. So with a heavy heart I left my instructor life and became a CrossFit Coach. I have never once regretted that decision.
CrossFit has changed my life and I truly believe that it is what will keep me young. I gained confidence I never knew I had and courage to get through other challenges in life.
Outside of the gym (yes, you have to have that) I own a small Photography business and enjoy my four beautiful children and husband! My kids range in age from 18 to 2 years old. Crossfit helps me keep up with them. You might also find me fixing up our 1920’s home.
